Xerius will attend as sponsor from the 22th to the 23th of June to the 13th meeting of the Ecology & Behavioural conference in Chizé. We will present our new products : Alteos, BioLoc, Pio, Co-coon. A similar workshop to the one organized by CLS in Japan will be held in October in Toulouse. Animal trackers will join the one-day Argos seminar to share experience with manufacturers as well as to learn about the latest innovations. During this seminar, worldwide ornithologists generally present their scientific studies using satellite tracking systems. Ideas are exchanged and new ways to cooperate are to be found. The 6th IAPC This Sixth International Albatross and Petrel Conference took place in Barcelona, Spain, over 19-23 September 2016. Xerius sponsored the first IAPC held in Europe where almost 150 worldwide scientists presented their studies about albatross and petrels. There were also rarer studies about smaller procellariforms, including small shearwaters, gadfly petrels and other little petrels which were previously omitted. 1st Asian Argos bird-tracking Conference This 1st Asian conference was organized by Dr Hiroyoshi Higuchi in cooperation with CLS and Cubic-I. During this conference, worldwide ornithologists introduced scientific results that were obtained through Argos platforms. Studies were truly fascinating, ideas were exchanged and new ways to cooperate were discussed. For example, we learnt about geese migration. For a technological company, it is always fascinating to realise how birds can find their ways naturally.
